The Nova Scotia College of Nursing (NSCN) is hosting the Supporting Professional Practice in Nursing Workshop on June 5, 2025, from 9:00am - 3:45pm at the Rodd Grand in Yarmouth. See below for further event details.
Based on our analysis of practice consultation, a needs assessment survey, and the success of two workshops in 2024, NSCN will once again host a workshop for Managers (both nurse and non-nurses), Clinical Nurse Educators, Professional Practice Leads and others that support nurses in professional practice. Please note: NSCN held workshops in May and September 2024, and some of that content will be repeated using different case scenarios.
Topics at the workshop will include:
- Session 1: What’s new at NSCN? Panel discussion and Q&A on emerging topics in nursing regulation
- Session 2: Nursing Scope of Practice and the 3-Factor Framework
- Session 3: Right Touch Regulation
- Session 4: Supporting Nurses with Professional Practice Issues
